With over 20 eateries dotting the landscape, Harris Park offers a diverse range of cuisines, tantalizing the taste buds of locals and visitors alike. The streets are adorned with shops selling an array of treasures, from the resplendent hues of saris to the glimmering allure of arm bangles, as well as the aromatic spices that bring an authentic Indian flavor to any dish. Recognizing the significance of this cultural enclave, Harris Park has been identified as one of the five key visitor precincts in the Council’s Destination Management Plan. The aim is to create attractive and unique experiences for visitors while ensuring the needs of the local community are met. Reflecting the profound impact of this cultural melting pot, there is a widespread movement to name a street in honor of Little India, paying homage to its status as a distinct Indian cultural hub.
