Siddaramaiah’s first meeting with Sonia since the Congress formed the government in Karnataka ended in an embarrassing manner. Siddaramaiah visited Delhi to discuss Cabinet expansion but faced humiliation at Sonia’s residence. He had to repeatedly prove his position as the Chief Minister before being allowed into 10 Janpath. The treatment he received was shocking and it was an embarrassing encounter at Sonia Gandhi’s official residence. To add insult to injury, he was informed that his car couldn’t enter the gate of 10 Janpath.
