NEW DELHI: Bandhan Bank’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Manoj Kumar Mauni resigns from his position with immediate effect.
Having served in this role since June 2021, Mauni was instrumental in spearheading the bank’s Information Technology transformation, overseeing the development and enhancement of the bank’s IT infrastructure.
During his tenure, Mauni was known for his ability to drive critical IT initiatives and deliver solutions that supported the bank’s growth and operational efficiency.
His sudden departure marks a significant change for the bank, especially in the wake of ongoing technology-driven transformations in the banking sector.
The reasons behind his resignation have not been publicly disclosed. Bandhan Bank has yet to announce a successor or provide additional information on the implications for the bank’s future tech strategies.
Mauni brings over two decades of experience in the IT and financial services sectors.
Prior to joining Bandhan Bank, he was the Executive Vice President of Information Technology at Kotak Mahindra Bank, where he played a key role in developing and implementing IT systems to streamline banking operations and improve customer experience.
His tenure at Kotak Mahindra Bank was marked by his leadership in major IT initiatives that aligned with the bank’s strategic goals.
With an extensive background in banking, insurance, and financial services, Mauni demonstrated strong expertise in IT strategy, service management, financial systems, and risk management.
A graduate of BITS Pilani with a BE (Hons) degree, Mauni furthered his education with a Master in Financial Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies in Mumbai.
His leadership skills were underscored by his deep experience with industry best practices, including CMM, PMP, and ITIL. Mauni’s efforts in leading large-scale IT transformations earned him multiple awards for his leadership in technology.
