NEW DELHI: Hours after Delhi Police’s Special Cell arrested a B Tech student from Assam’s Jorhat in connection with Bulli Bai case where pictures of several women belonging to a particular community were put on sale, Shiv Sena Rajya Sabha MP Priyanka Chaturvedi said that finally wheels of justice have started moving. Especially since, more arrests are now being made in connection with the case.

Speaking to The New Indian, Chaturvedi, who is also Shiv Sena’s spokesperson said, “I am happy that wheels of justice are finally moving and those women who were deliberately targeted, who were continuously targeted and the government of India was turning a blind eye to ,will now get justice. Finally we are seeing action on it.”

Four people have been arrested so far — three by Mumbai Police and now this one by Delhi Police.

So I am hoping that this will deter any young mind and make them understand that technology is also a disruptor that is something that can provide them jobs and they can be role models for India,

Chaturvedi was among first politicians besides Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to demand action against people behind the creator of Bulli Bai and putting Muslim women on auction on internet.

Her remarks came after the Special Cell’s Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations unit (IFSO) arrested Niraj Bishnoi, a resident of Jorhat in Assam.
