Rajasthan Cabinet Reshuffle: Sachin Pilot Meets Sonia Gandhi At 10 Janpath, Here’s What Was Discussed

NEW DELHI: A day after Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot met Congress interim chief Sonia Gandhi, former Deputy Chief Minister and senior party leader Sachin Pilot also met the party supremo in the national capital.

Pilot arrived at the residence of Sonia Gandhi around 12 noon at 10 Janpath.

According to party sources, the two leaders discussed the Rajasthan’s cabinet expansion.

The party source said that Pilot pitched to have Dalit and OBC face in the cabinet expansion.

Speaking to reporters after meeting Gandhi, Pilot said, “Whatever the Congress party wants me to do, I am more than happy to do. In the last two decades, whatever job has been assigned, I have done it diligently and will continue to do so.”

Pilot said the party wants to strengthen the state organisation ahead of the 2023 Rajasthan assembly polls.

The meeting of the two leaders comes a day after Gehlot met Sonia Gandhi.

He along with several party MLAs had camped in a hotel in Haryana’s Gurugram. However, Pilot had this year brushed aside the reports of him joining the BJP.
