NEW DELHI: A tragic incident unfolded on January 1, 2025, when Shamsud-Din Jabbar, a 42-year-old man, drove a pickup truck into a crowd on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. The attack resulted in at least 10 fatalities and numerous injuries. Following the collision, Jabbar exited the truck and opened fire on law enforcement officers, leading to his death at the scene.

 

The FBI has confirmed that an ISIS flag and explosives were found in Jabbar’s vehicle, which has prompted them to treat the incident as an act of terrorism.
