BUDGAM: A mysterious blast triggered panic in Kralpora village of Chadoora in central Kashmir’s Budgam district at 7.30 am on Saturday, locals said here.

No causality or any major damage was reported in the incident.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Budgam Tahir Saleem said that during the early morning hours, a loud explosion was heard by local residents of Kralpora, where some minority families also reside.

Saleem said that he, along with a Bomb Detection Squad, visited the incident site. During preliminary investigation, it seems that some unexploded old shell in old building material and scrap piled up there might have exploded, he added.
