Bollywood superstar gets yet another threat from jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and Bishnoi’s Canada-based partner Goldy Brar
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan was threatened again by the Lawrence Bishnoi-Goldy Brar gang. The email threat was received by Khan’s personal assistant.
The latest threat comes a week after jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi issued a threat to Khan in a television interview. In the interview, Bishnoi was heard saying that his only aim in life is to kill Salman Khan.
Mumbai Police lodged an FIR under Section 506 (2) (Punishment for criminal intimidation) and 120b (Criminal Conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Bandra Police Station on March 18.
The FIR, a copy of which is with The New Indian, named three gangsters – Rohit Garg, Goldy Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi – as accused. It was also mentioned that Garg’s account was used to send the mail.
While Bishnoi is lodged in a Punjab jail, Brar is suspected to be in Canada.
The FIR was registered by one Prashant Narendra Gunjalkar, who runs an artist management company and has lived in Bandra West for the past two years. Actor Salman Khan has been his friend for several years.
In the FIR, Gunjalkar said that in June 2022, he received a threatening letter stating that Khan will have the same fate as Sidhu Moosewala, who was shot dead in May 2022 in Punjab by the Lawrence Bishnoi-Goldy Brar gang. A complaint about this threat has already been lodged with the local police.
On March 18, Gunjalkar again received a threat via email from one Rohit Garg ([email protected]). “Goldy Bhai (Goldy Brar) ko baat karni hai tere boss Salman se. Interview (of Lawrence Bishnoi) dekh hi liya hoga usne shayad. Nahi dekha hoga to bol diyo dekh lega. Matter close karna hai to bata dio. Abhi time rehte inform kar diya hai. Agli baar jhatka hi dekhne ko milega. (Goldy Brar wants to talk to your boss, Salman Khan. He must have seen the interview with Lawrence Bishnoi. Let us know if he wants to close the matter. We have warned you. Next time you will see the consequences),” the email stated.
Jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi has threatened to kill Khan multiple times for allegedly hunting a blackbuck during his film shoot in Rajasthan in 1998. The Bishnoi community considers the blackbuck their sacred animal.
