NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the dates for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025. The exam, conducted in two sessions annually, will hold its first session in January and the second in April.

For January 2025, the BE/BTech (Paper 1) exams are scheduled for January 22, 23, 24, 28, and 29. These tests will be conducted in two shifts—morning (9:00 am to 12:00 pm) and afternoon (3:00 pm to 6:00 pm).

The BArch and BPlanning exams (Paper 2A and 2B) will take place exclusively on January 30 in the afternoon shift from 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm.

The official JEE Main website, jeemain.nta.nic.in, has made all key details available, including the syllabus, exam pattern, and notification.

JEE Main has consistently followed a two-session format to provide candidates with additional opportunities for performance improvement.

In 2024, the January session was held from January 24 to 31, while the April session ran from April 6 to 12.

Registration for the January session in 2024 began on November 1 and spanned over a month, followed by the release of city intimation slips.

Participation in JEE Main has steadily increased. In January 2024, 12.21 lakh candidates registered, with 11.70 lakh appearing.

For the April session, 11.79 lakh registered, and 10.67 lakh appeared. This reflects a rising trend compared to 2022 and 2023, where total registrations were 10.26 lakh and 11.62 lakh, respectively.

Candidates aiming for admission to premier engineering and architecture institutions like IITs and NITs are advised to stay updated through the official website for registration timelines and other announcements.
