ITBP Hoists National Flag At Border Outpost

NEW DELHI: The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) raised the Tricolor at the Border Outpost in Uttarakhand on Thursday to encourage every Indian to fly national flags at their residences.

This year India is celebrating the 75th year of its Independence. The Central government has marked this year as ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ under which it has been requested that the people hoist nation flags at their homes.

In a statement, ITBP said, “National Flag flying high at a Border Outpost of ITBP in Uttarakhand. ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is a nationwide campaign that envisages inspiring Indians everywhere to hoist the national flag at their home to mark the 75th Independence Day.”

ITBP jawans guard over 3000 kilometres of the stretch of the Indo-China Border which also includes the 350 kilometres of the stretch of Uttarakhand.
