NEW DELHI: In a celebration of 75 years of diplomatic ties, India and Finland, as well as India and Denmark, have revealed a special commemorative logo. I am honoured to join my Indian counterpart in its unveiling. “The design, crafted by Indian student Aman Narayan from the World University of Design (WUD) in Haryana, draws inspiration from India’s rich cultural heritage and the renowned natural phenomenon of the aurora borealis, closely associated with Finland.”
During the Raisina Dialogue, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar held discussions with Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen, covering various bilateral, regional, and international issues of mutual interest. They signed a mobility and migration partnership agreement between India and Denmark, demonstrating a commitment to enhance people-to-people ties.

They also deliberated on Danish involvement in the Indo-Pacific Oceans Initiative and outlined plans to establish a Comprehensive Green Strategic Partnership following the conclusion of the current Joint Action Plan in 2026.
Recent years have witnessed a deepening of India-Denmark relations, highlighted by Prime Minister Modi’s official visit to Denmark in May 2022 and Danish Prime Minister Frederiksen’s visit to India in 2021. The Indo-Danish Green Strategic Partnership has facilitated increased cooperation, particularly in areas related to sustainability and green technology.

India, in turn, values Finland’s position as an important EU member and a centre of cutting-edge technology. The enhanced political and commercial engagements between the two nations reflect a shared commitment to fostering mutual prosperity and development.
