New Delhi: Hockey India has launched its official mobile application to enhance fan engagement and bring hockey closer to its supporters. The launch coincides with the much-anticipated return of the Hockey India League, a premier tournament that attracts top talent from across the globe.

 

The app aims to be a one-stop platform for fans, players, and officials alike. It offers real-time access to photos, press releases, team information, match schedules, and detailed statistics. Additionally, it features live-streaming capabilities for various tournaments, including the ongoing 14th Hockey India Sub Junior Women National Championship 2024 and the Junior Men’s Asia Cup. With this functionality, Hockey India reinforces its commitment to making the sport more accessible to a wider audience.

Dr. Dilip Tirkey, Chairperson of the Hockey India League Governing Committee, highlighted the significance of this digital initiative, saying, “The official Hockey India and Hockey India League app is a step towards bringing the sport closer to its fans. We aim to provide seamless access to updates, live action, and exclusive content, ensuring hockey remains at the forefront of India’s sporting landscape.”

 

The app is designed not just for fans but also for players, officials, and stakeholders, making it a comprehensive resource for the hockey community. Shri Bhola Nath Singh, a member of the Hockey India League Governing Committee, added, “This app is a celebration of the sport, bridging the gap between fans and the game. By integrating numerous features, we aim to foster a vibrant hockey ecosystem that is inclusive and easily accessible.”

 

The return of the Hockey India League, coupled with the launch of the official app, marks a new chapter for Indian hockey. By leveraging technology to connect with fans and promote the sport, Hockey India is setting the stage for a brighter, more engaging future for hockey in the country.
