The episode unfolded late at night when Vineet Gautam, a local resident, informed the police about a group of criminals carrying pistols and swords in the E Block market. Despite providing clear information, no action was taken by the police.
Around 2 am, the same group of criminals appeared outside Gautam’s residence, pelting stones at his car and slashing its seats with knives. The noise awakened the neighbours, who rushed out, causing the attackers to flee.

This incident is not isolated. Jahangirpuri, notorious for its rising crime rate, has witnessed frequent incidents of criminals brazenly roaming the streets with weapons. Despite multiple complaints and CCTV footage capturing these events, the police remain inactive.
Vineet Gautam expressed his frustration, stating, “It’s impossible to curb the rising crime in Delhi if this continues. Even after submitting CCTV footage of the criminals roaming in the market with weapons, the police took no action.”
Fortunately, Gautam was not in his car during the attack. However, the lack of action from law enforcement has emboldened criminals and left residents questioning their safety.

The locals are now voicing their anger against the Delhi Police, highlighting the alarming rise in criminal activities in Jahangirpuri. Despite multiple incidents reported last night, no FIR has been registered, nor have the police initiated any investigation.
CCTV footage of the attack and the criminals wandering with weapons has surfaced, further strengthening the allegations of police negligence. Residents demand immediate action and accountability from the authorities.
