CM Yogi Distributes Depts Among His 5 Young Spl Secys

LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh government on Thursday distributed charge of different departments among five special secretaries, all young, to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

IAS officer Kumar Harsh, a 2016 batch IAS officer, has been given Power, Excise, Urban Development, Appointment and Personnel, Public Works Department (PWD), Secretariat Administration Department, and Forest.

Prathmesh Kumar, another 2016 batch IAS officer, has been entrusted with the charge of Home Department, Transportation, Mining, and Finance.

Shashank Tripathi, who served as Chief Development Officer (CDO) in Gonda district and recently posted as special secretary to the CM, has been given Education, Agriculture, Trade, and Information and Public Relation Department.

Ishan Pratap Singh, another young officer recently posted as special secretary, will report to the chief minister on matters concerning Health Department, Cooperatives, and Civil Aviation. Prior to the current assignment, Singh was also posted as the chief development officer in Shrawasti.

UP PCS officer Ashutosh Mohan Agnihotri has been entrusted with Rural Development, Jalshakti, Tax Collection, Revenue, and Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS).

The young officers’ posting in the chief minister’s office is being seen part of the government’s attempt to bring in innovative approaches to governance in Yogi government 2.0.
