NEW DELHI: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital on Thursday, July 5. Naidu is on a two-day visit to Delhi.

During his visit, he also held meetings with several Union Ministers. Sources indicated that meetings with Home Minister Amit Shah, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, and Health Minister J.P. These meetings coincided with Prime Minister Modi’s meeting with Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on July 5, which has also sparked speculation about Reddy joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Meanwhile, Reddy’s meeting with PM Modi reportedly focused on crucial pending projects for Telangana, although there was no official confirmation.

Following the meeting, Naidu expressed confidence in Andhra Pradesh’s potential to “re-emerge as a powerhouse among states” under PM Modi’s leadership.

Naidu tweeted on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Today, I had a constructive meeting with the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri @narendramodi Ji, in Delhi to address important matters concerning the welfare and development of Andhra Pradesh. I am confident that under his leadership, our state will re-emerge as a powerhouse among states.”

Naidu also discussed national highway projects with Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and praised the “spirit of cooperative federalism” after talks with Minister Piyush Goyal.

“After meeting with Gadkari, I’m confident that together we shall take Andhra Pradesh further on the road to progress and prosperity,” Naidu tweeted.

After his meeting with Goyal, the chief minister said, “This wonderful spirit of cooperative federalism will help our state, Andhra Pradesh, unlock its full potential. It was a pleasure meeting you in Delhi today!”
