Farmers Heckle Kangana On Way From Himachal; Actor Says Plan Was to Lynch Her

CHANDIGARH: Padma Shri awardee and Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut, who has taken stand against repealing of three farm bills and had equated some protests as ‘jihadi’, allegedly faced farmers ire in Kiratpur Sahib of Punjab as she entered there from her home town in Himachal Pradesh on Friday.

Several farmers were seen gathering near Bunga Sahib area of Kiratpur on Chandigarh-Una highway and surrounding her white colour vehicle. The wind shades of the vehicle were covered and Ranaut was not visible.

Soon after several farmers surrounded the car and started shouting slogans against Kangana, heavy police force rushed to the spot to disperse the crowd near from her vehicle.

Ranaut had recently approached police after she was allegedly getting life threats from various places of Punjab.

Minutes after the incident, the Manikarna actor took the matter to her Instagram and shared a story saying that her flight got cancelled while accusing the farmers of using abusive language while heckling her.

Ranaut on her Instagram alleged that if there were no police, she could have faced mob lynching. Later she was also seen talking with women farmers who were also present at the protest site.

After some time she releases another video where she was seen saying that she was safe and returning back to her home.
