The DGP said 201 – 171 in Kashmir and the rest in Jammu zone – were detained under the PSA, while 89 terror modules, including 78 in Kashmir and 11 in Jammu, were busted this year.
The allocation, aimed at bolstering connectivity, is expected to not only benefit the local population of Ladakh but also aid defence forces engaged in a prolonged standoff with the People's Liberation Army (PLA) of China along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) for over three and a half years.

The amendments were approved in a meeting of the Administrative Council chaired by Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. The meeting was also attended by Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, Advisor to J&K LG, Chief Secretary J&K Atal Dulloo and Principal Secretary to LG Dr Mandeep K Bhandari.
