A Delhi-based Hindu activist, Preet Sirohi, has applied to the Patiala House Courts against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
NEW DELHI: A Delhi-based Hindu activist, Preet Sirohi, has applied to the Patiala House Courts against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, requesting the court to direct him to fulfil the promises made before the elections.
The petition was filed through Sirohi’s counsel, Vikas Sharma. In the plea, Sirohi has urged the court to issue a decree directing Kejriwal to disclose the actions initiated based on the election manifesto and provide the current status of those actions.

Additionally, Sirohi has requested the court to pass a decree directing Kejriwal to take concrete steps to implement the unfulfilled promises outlined in the manifesto. The petitioner has also sought an order requiring Kejriwal to bear the legal fees for the suit. The petition was filed on Tuesday before a civil judge.
Speaking with The New Indian, Sirohi said that none of the promises described in AAP’s manifestos had been fulfilled by the Chief Minister. The Delhi Assembly election is scheduled for February 2025. With this petition, the elections are expected to become more interesting.

Recently, another petition was moved before the Rohini Court against AAP’s Mangolpuri candidate, Rakesh Jatav, by a BJP leader. The Rohini Court will, on December 21, pronounce its order on this plea, which was moved under Section 156(3) of the CrPC.
Ashok Kumar Birlan, who contested on a BJP ticket and lost to Jatav, has filed this plea. Birlan has alleged that the SC certificate furnished by Jatav was forged. The court, after hearing the arguments, has stated that it will pronounce its order on whether or not an FIR should be lodged against him.
AAP has announced that it will contest the election alone, ruling out any alliance with Congress. In the last assembly election, Congress failed to win a single seat.
