BJP releases its Manifesto for 2023 MP election

NEW DELHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released its manifesto for the Madhya Pradesh polls on Saturday. The party promised to provide free ration to the poor for the next five years and LPG cylinders to women at Rs 450. The party also said it will set up Madhya Pradesh Institute of Technology and Madhya Pradesh Institute of Medical Sciences once it retains power in the state.  The BJP further promised to provide 100 units of electricity for Rs 100.

Here Are Key Promises Made By The BJP:

  1. Free ration to the poor for the next five years.
  2. Fair Farmer Support: Procuring wheat at ₹2,700 and paddy at ₹3,100 per quintal.
  3. Financial Aid to Farmers: ₹12,000 annually under Kisan Samman Nidhi and Kisan Kalyaan Yojana.
  4. Affordable Housing: Launching Mukhya Mantri Jan Awas Yojana to provide homes for the economically disadvantaged.
  5. Empowering Women: Ladli Behna Scheme beneficiaries to receive financial aid and pakka houses.
  6. LPG Subsidy: Ladli Behna and Ujjwala Scheme beneficiaries to get gas cylinders at ₹450.
  7. Employment Opportunities: Pledging job or self-employment opportunities for every household.
  8. Women’s Empowerment: Skill development for 15 lakh rural women.
  9. Girl Child Support: Offering ₹2 lakh until the age of 21.
  10. Education Focus: Free education from KG to PG for needy families.

Infrastructure Development:

11. Modern Railways: Modernization of 80 railway stations, new expressways, and Vande Metro and Vande Bharat sleeper travel.

12) Health Revolution: ₹20,000 crore investment in high-tech hospitals, doubling ICU beds, and establishing medical colleges.

13) Cultural Heritage: Development of 13 cultural sites.

14) Transportation Boost: Building airports in Singrol and Shehdol

15) Education Hub: Establishing Madhya Pradesh Institute of Technology and Medical Sciences.

The 230-member Madhya Pradesh assembly will go to polls in a single phase on November 17. The Madhya Pradesh Election 2023 will see a tight contest between the BJP and the Congress. The Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) have also fielded their candidates for the state polls.
