NEW DELHI: Controversial YouTuber Elvish Yadav who has found himself under the scanner of the Noida Police, skipped out on his second summon in the snake venom case, citing fever and throat infection, while posting an Instagram reel enjoying and humming to a Punjabi song of Siddhu Moosewala, on Friday. The video was posted within the last 10 hours.
Speculations have been raised regarding the reality of the situation, with some pointing fingers at the YouTuber, claiming that his excuse of sickness is false, and he has specifically lied to the Noida Police.
The video depicted water droplets sliding down the rear window glass of the car, suggesting that it was shot during the rains that engulfed the National Capital Region and Delhi. This also suggests that the video was posted within the last ten hours.

The video has now gone viral on social media amid the ongoing controversy. Deputy Commissioner of Police Harish Chandra had informed The New Indian that Elvish had provided a medical report where he stated that Yadav was infected with a throat infection and was sick.
Presently, Noida police has obtained a 54 judicial remand for the five who have been accused of smuggling snakes and providing the illegal snake venom. Their remand will conclude on Sunday afternoon.
Police sources have also mentioned that they are inclined towards confronting Yadav through interrogation procedures which shall be implemented on Rahul Yadav, the snake smuggler who had allegedly supplied the reptiles to the YouTuber.

Elvish was earlier questioned for three hours in connection with the matter, when he had arrived at the police station at midnight. This was his second summon which he skipped citing health reasons.
These developments took place after Elvish was accused by Gaurav Gupta, a member of the People for Animals wildlife welfare NGO run by Bharatiya Janata Party MP Maneka Gandhi, had registered a complaint against him under Wildlife Protection Act, 1972.
