INTERVIEW| ULFA Chief Says Assam Is Peaceful, Will Sign Peace Pact before 2024

The New Indian’s Nibir Deka spoke exclusively with ULFA General Secretary Anup Chetia. Chetia has revealed that the ULFA Pro-talks group is likely to sign a peace agreement before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He has stated that the situation has turned normal in Assam with efforts from the Center while also requesting to increase the financial rehabilitation given to the surrendered cadres from Rs 4 Lakh to Rs 10 Lakh.
