PM Modi ‘shocked’ with ‘terrorist attack’ in Israel

NEW DELHI: Amid the attack by Hamas terrorists against Israel, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his solidarity with the turmoil hit country. The PM has called the incident a ‘terror attack’ sending strong condemnation against the evasion of Israel’s soil.

PM took to X and wrote “Deeply shocked by the news of terrorist attacks in Israel. Our thoughts and prayers are with the innocent victims and their families. We stand in solidarity with Israel at this difficult hour.” 

Meanwhile,the Government of India has advised Indian nationals residing in Israel to exercise caution and avoid unnecessary travel. 

India and Israel have long shared friendly relations. The attack started on Saturday’s morning when the Palestinian Islamist organization Hamas carried out its biggest attack on Israel in years as over 50 terrorists infiltrated into the country on Saturday killing four while another 100 were wounded.

 

Naor Gilon, Ambassador of Israel to India, has thanked PM Modi for his PM Modi. He wrote on X “Thank you
@PMOIndia. India’s moral support is much appreciated. Israel will prevail.”

Kobbi Shoshani, Consul General of ISRAEL to Midwest India also took to X expressing his gratitude to Indian PM for his clear stance on the attack. He wrote “Thank you, Mr. PM. We are extremely grateful for the Indian clear voice and the thousands of messages I have received since morning.”

Israeli authorities have issued an announcement indicating a “state of war” across the nation, resulting in widespread activation of bomb sirens. More than 5,000 explosives have been launched into Israel, causing significant disruptions and chaos throughout the entire country.

Amid united voices against the attack on Israel, AlJazeera, a Qatari state-owned Arabic-language international news television network, has put forward a different version of the attack where they do not call it a ‘terror attack’. The media organization has long been known to sympathize with Palestine over the conflict.
