NEW DELHI: Looking to make a comeback after 10 years in opposition, the then UPA which is now known as the ‘Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance’ popularly known as INDIA, has gone on the front foot in their preparation for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. A picture emerged on X of a ‘war room’ meeting of the alliance’s social media cell, on Sunday shows that the opposition alliance is all set to take on the ruling NDA.

The picture, which was released on All India Congress Committee Coordinator Gaurav Pandhi’s X account, had some of the who’s who of the alliance.

Congress’ Working Committee member Gurdeep Singh Sappal, Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate, former Maharashtra Cabinet minister and Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aaditya Thackeray, were some of the party honchos present at the meeting held in Mumbai.

Pandhi, who was one of the first to release the video, showcasing the ‘war room’ had tweeted, “With the tech-savvy minds and insights of INDIA parties coming together, this group has become the most influential political group in the world.” Also stating that all the parties have realised the role of social media in furthering political gains in the modern political game.

Of late, both the factions have engaged in a battle of wits on social media platforms, aiming for the lowest hanging fruit — Parivaarvaad for the saffrons, while the INDIA faction attacked the former’s jumla.
