Adani Green Energy’s Wind Power Capacity Surpasses 1 GW Milestone with New Unit in Gujarat

Adani Green Energy (AGEL) announced an increase in its operational wind generation capacity to 1,101 MW (1.1 GW) with the commissioning of a 130 MW wind power plant in Kutch, Gujarat. The plant has entered a 25-year power purchase agreement with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).

With the successful commissioning of this plant, AGEL’s operational wind generation capacity has increased to 1,101 MW and the total operational renewable generation capacity has increased to 8,216 MW. This places AGEL’s total renewable portfolio well on track to reach its vision of 45 GW capacity by 2030.

The newly commissioned plant will be managed by Adani Group’s intelligent ‘Energy Network Operation Centre’ (ENOC) platform, ensuring efficient operation of AGEL’s diverse renewable portfolio across India. AGEL aims to integrate sustainability and economic development while contributing to India’s commitment to climate change mitigation.
