The Titans set a massive target of 205 runs for #KKR to chase, and as the innings progressed, it seemed like a daunting task. But just when all hope seemed lost, #RinkuSingh stepped up to the crease.
The #Aligarh-born cricketer had already made his mark in the #IPL with some impressive performances in the past, but nothing could have prepared the fans for what was to come. #RinkuSingh, the power-hitter, smashed 48 runs in just 21 deliveries, hitting five consecutive sixes in the last over to secure a three-wicket victory for KKR.
But Rinku’s journey to this moment had not been an easy one. Hailing from a lower-middle-class family, he had faced numerous challenges in pursuing his dream of becoming a cricketer.
His father struggled to make ends meet by delivering LPG cylinders, and Rinku had to take up odd jobs to support himself while playing for the UP under-19 side. But all the hard work and perseverance paid off when he got his chance to play for KKR.
