Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot’s OSD (officer on special duty) Lokesh Sharma appeared before the Delhi Police on Monday in a case of alleged phone tapping.
This is the third time that he was questioned by the police in the case, which was registered based on a complaint filed by Union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat alleging that his phone was tapped by Rajasthan’s Congress government.
Sharma has skipped three out of a total of six summons issued to him in this case by the police, according to officials.

He appeared before officials of the Crime Branch at its office in Delhi’s Prashant Vihar where he stayed for an hour. “I have answered all questions put up by investigators,” he said.
Speaking to media persons after his questioning, Sharma said that he only forwarded an audio clip received on WhatsApp, which was related to attempts of buying MLAs to bring down the Congress government.
“Since there was an attempt to bring down the elected government, I shared audio clips which I received on my WhatsApp to the media groups. Shekhawat Ji had the voice in the clips to be his own,” he said.
Sharma said that he had nothing to do with intercepting the phones of any leader. “I have also appealed before the high court against this FIR over the issue of jurisdiction. I have requested the court to either quash the FIR or transfer it to Rajasthan. The next hearing on this matter is February 20,” said Sharma.
He demanded an investigation to identify the voice of the purported audio clips pertaining to attempts of horse trading.
