In another tweet it said, “We warmly welcome Nafisa Ali and Mrinalini Deshprabhu into our Goa Trinamool Congress family who joined us today in the presence of our Chairperson Banerjee and RS MP Derek O’Brien.”

This comes days after the Trinamool Congress had been successful in getting Congress leader and former Goa Chief Minister Luizinho Faleiro into the party fold. Faleiro resigned from Congress on September 27 this year. He joined the Trinamool Congress in Kolkata along with several other party leaders.

After resigning from the party, Faleiro had stated that he joined the Trinamool Congress after suggestion from poll strategist Prashant Kishor, who had been instrumental in Trinamool Congress’ victory in West Bengal Assembly elections this year.

Banerjee, who is on a day visit to the state also interacted with the fishermen community here in Malim Jetty, Betim.

The party said that the chief minister listened to the issues that they are facing, and assured her complete support and stated that Trinamool Congress shall fight for them and uplift the community.

Banerjee is also slated to address several meetings in the state, which will go to polls next year.
