Authorities demolished a portion of the house of a Pakistan-based terrorist for encroachment on the government land in the famous tourist town of Pahalgam in South Kashmir on Saturday morning.
According to officials, Hizb-ul-Mujahideen terrorist Ghulam Nabi Khan had encroachment upon the land at “gunpoint” and built an extension wall of his residence at Liver village in Anantnag district.
Khan crossed over to Pakistan in the early 90s and has been training and coordinating terror activities in the Valley at the behest of Islamabad, officials said.
He had encroached upon three Marla public land at ‘gun point’ said a police officer.
The terrorist is the deputy chairman of the United Jihad Council, which is based in Pakistan.
Earlier, the house of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorist Ashiq Nengroo alias Amjid Bhai was demolished by authorities in Rajpora area of Pulwama district.
The demolition is the latest in a series of actions against terrorists and their supporters aimed at dismantling the terror ecosystem in the Valley.
