‘You Can Only Kill His Body, Not The Spirit’: Daughter Of Slain Kashmiri Pandit ML Bindroo Dares Terrorists For Open Debate

SRINAGAR:  The killing of Kashmir Hindu Pandit M.L. Bindroo may have sent shockwaves all across Kashmir, but his daughter Shraddha Bindroo believes his indomitable spirit will always be alive even as she came down hard on the terrorists for the cowardly act.

Speaking to reporters over the dastardly act, Shraddha said, “he will never die, you can only kill the body, not the ones who has developed. If you have the guts, come and face me.”

“I don’t have a single tear in my eyes because he was a fighter, he died like a fighter. He is alive in all of us,” she said.

“I am an associate professor, I started from zero level, my father started from a bicycle, my brother is a famous diabetologist, my mother sits in the shop, that’s what Makhan Lal Bindroo made us. A Kashmiri Pandit, he will never die.

Terrorists pumped bullets into owner of ‘Bindroo Medicate’, Makhan Lal Bindroo near Iqbal Park in Srinagar on Tuesday evening. He was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Terrorists shot dead Makhan Lal Bindroo, one of the well-known chemist shop owners in the heart of Srinagar city. 

A snack vendor also was shot at in Botakadal, Lal Bazaar area of the city. He was rushed to the hospital but was declared brought dead during admission.

Official sources told The New Indian that terrorists shot at the owner of Bindroo Medicate, Makhan Lal Bindroo, inside his shop at Hari Singh High Street, at Lal Chowk near the Iqbal park, in Srinagar on Tuesday. Bindroo succumbed to his injuries, sources said.

Bindroo died Tuesday after bullets were pumped into him by terrorists in Srinagar.

Eyewitnesses said, Bindroo had received several wounds in his chest due to multiple bullet shots. Bindroo, was one of the few hundred Kashmiri Pandits who had stayed back in Kashmir in 1990, when the entire ethnic minority community was driven out by Islamist terror groups.  

Politicians from Kashmir condemned the killing with J&K LG Manoj Sinha saying the perpetrators will be brought to justice very soon. Sinha on Wednesday afternoon visited the residence of Bindroo and offered condolences to the bereaved family.
