Abuser Shrikant Tyagi Arrested After 3-Day Chase

Shrikant Tyagi is accused of abusing a woman in Noida.

NEW DELHI: Shrikant Tyagi, the man who was filmed abusing, manhandling and spitting on a woman at a residential society in Noida, has been arrested from Meerut by the Noida Police on Tuesday.

“He has been arrested from Meerut by the district police. We will hold a press conference on his arrest soon,” Noida Police Commissioner Alok Singh told The New Indian.

Tyagi was on the run since a video of him abusing a woman went viral on social media on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Noida Police questioned his wife at Phase 2 police station for the fourth consecutive day.

Tyagi, who posted photos with top BJP leaders and ministers on social media, has been slapped with the stringent Gangster Act.

An illegal construction of his residence at Grand Omaxe Society in Noida was bulldozed by the administration on Monday.
