KOLKATA: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has called the daughter and son-in-law of tainted former Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee to join its investigation in the multi-crore SSC recruitment scam.

The financial probe agency had sent emails to Chatterjee’s US-based daughter Sohini Bhattacharya and son-in-law Kalyanmay Bhattacharya to immediately come to Kolkata and join the investigation.

The suspended Trinamool Congress strongman is currently in the custody of the agency. His close aide, Arpita Mukherjee, from whose houses across Bengal ED had recovered 51 crore in cash, was also arrested by the agency.

The duo will be presented before the competent court on Friday.
