DEHRADUN: Uttarakhand will soon launch the Chief Minister’s Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, similar to the Prime Minister’s Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, according to Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.

CM Dhami said, “State can be prosperous only through a strong farmer. For this, the CM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme will soon be launched in the state. The BJP has included this scheme in its vision paper for the 2022 state assembly elections. Under this ₹2000 will be given to the farmers every year.”

Dhami inaugurated the computerization of 108 multipurpose cooperative societies and laid the foundation stone of Chharba Plant of Total Mix Ration at the CM’s residence.

On this occasion, he asked the officers not to put hurdles in the tasks related to the welfare of the common people, but instead try to solve them.

“The focus of the government is on simplification, solution and disposal. In such a situation, it would be better for the officer to tell the solution instead of saying no,” added the CM.

CM Dhami, mentioning the Ghasiyari Kalyan Yojana under which fodder for the cattle is being provided to help women cut down rigorous trekking hours and risk in the remote hilly areas of the state, said that the scheme is bound to bring revolutionary changes.

In June this year, in the budget for the financial year 2022-23, an amount of ₹1206 crores was allocated for the agriculture sector of the state to increase the income of more than 9.30 lakh farmers. Subsidy on irrigation facilities has been increased from 55 per cent to 80 per cent.
