Udaipur Horror: Now, Two Bhilwara Men Receive Death Threats

JAIPUR: Days after the brutal murder of Udaipur’s Kanhaiya Lal Teli inside his tailor shop, two similar incidents came into the limelight as two men from different places in the Bhilwara district received death threats from unknown persons.

A man from Potla village in Bhilwara received death for supporting Nupur Sharma on social media and another man from Asind received death threats for posting a video supporting Bhagwa.

Rajasthan police have arrested five people in connection to the case in Potla, Bhilwara and an FIR has been filed in connection to the case in Asind, Bhilwara.

A man identified as Ayush Soni, in Potla, alleged that he received death threats from some people after he posted comments on social media supporting Nupur Sharma’s remarks against Prophet Muhammad.

Sub Inspector of Gangapur police station at Bhilwara, Narayan Singh said that police has filed an FIR against five accused and arrested them on Friday.

“A man residing in Potla village in Bhilwara district posted a picture supporting statements of Nupur as his WhatsApp status. He received death threats on his phone. When we found out, we filed an FIR and arrested the accused. The investigation is going on and further action will be taken,” Singh said.

In another incident at Asind, Bhilwara, Narayan Gurjar, a 23-years-old man has filed an FIR against a person who has given him death threats.

 

 

According to the report, Narayan Gurjar posted a video of a man being proud of wearing ‘Bhagwa’, a pious colour for Hindus. A man with a Facebook ID ‘Mahfuz Mansuri’, commented ‘One is beheaded, still you cannot keep quiet’.

The screenshots of the profile and comments have been attached along with the FIR documents.

ASI of Asind police station in Bhilwara, Narayan Lal said, “The man has filed an FIR and we are taking the help of our technical team to trace the person named Mahfuz Mansuri. However, his profile is now deactivated. We are taking all possible help from the technical staff. Protection has been provided to the family of Narayan Gurjar as well.”
