LUCKNOW/DELHI: It has been a roller coaster ride for the Yogi Adityanath-led Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) in Uttar Pradesh. Having weathered a strong challenge from former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party, Yogi’s government has started to meet the aspirations and expectations of the people who reposed faith in him.

While enumerating the achievements of his government, the chief minister has said that 97 out of the 132 promises made in the Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra of the party during elections have been fulfilled within first 100 days of his second stint. The monk-turned-politician applauded his government’s overall performance on every front during this period.

Hitting hard at his predecessor Akhikesh Yadav, Yogi said, “There was a crisis of identity for the state before 2017 and it was lacking in the implementation of the central government schemes. My government changed the perception and image of Uttar Pradesh. Far improved law and order situation in the state and compliance of environmental norms are attracting investment in the state. Recent UP Investment Summit was a smashing hit with top industrial houses pledging investment in the state”, the CM said.

Inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, UP Investment Summit has attracted an investment of Rs 75,000 crore for Uttar Pradesh. Many eminent industrialists participated in the ground breaking. This was the third ground breaking ceremony that was organized in Uttar Pradesh during the stewardship of Yogi. Efforts will be made to get these projects off the ground in the next five years.

“My government has made efforts to bring rule of law to the state. Illegal properties of mafia elements worth Rs 844 crore have been seized in last 100 days in the state”, Yogi Adityanath added.

Another spectacular achievement of the Yogi government has been the compliance of Supreme Court mandated decibel norms. It happened for the first time that people cutting across religions voluntarily removed loudspeakers and in some cases prescribed norms of sound pollution were met.

Yogi took over the oath of office and secrecy for the second time on March 25, 2022. Uttar Pradesh is associated with Jan Sangh stalwart Deen Dayal Upadhyay. It has been his birth as well as work place. In the first 100 days, the Yogi government has undertaken effective initiatives for fulfilling the aims and objectives of Antodaya (benefits reach the last strata of the society)”.

The CM also said the UP government is following PM’s call of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas (development for all, together with all)’ in letter and spirit.

Noting the state’s economy is based on agriculture, he said his government is giving priority to farmers’ issues.

With regard electricity and power supply, CM Adityanath said that his government has asked the Centre for a 24-hour power supply for all villages in the state.
