NEW DELHI: National flag Tricolour will be hoisted in every house on August 15 when India completes 75 years of Independence this year, said Union culture minister G Kishan Reddy.
In reference to the Ministry of Culture’s ‘Har Ghar Jhanda’ campaign, Reddy said, “India will complete 75 years of its independence and on that day in each and every house of India, we all will host the Tricolour on 15 August 2022.”
The campaign is part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration to commemorate the 75 years of Independence. As per the government, people will be encouraged to hoist the national flag over their houses on Independence Day.
Programmes and initiatives under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav not only highlight the achievements of many freedom fighters but also inspire Indians to take pride in India and do more for the betterment of their countrymen.
