NEW DELHI: Former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat and Uttarakhand AICC in-charge Devendra Yadav on Monday launched party’s theme song titled ‘Tin togada, Kam bigada aur BJP na aayegi dobara’ ahead of assembly polls in the state. Rawat said that the double engine government of the state has failed miserably.

Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters here, Rawat said, “The way in which development has been distorted in the state even the centre has acknowledged that.”

He said even Prime Minister Narendra Modi had acknowledged the failure of the double engine government by changing three chief ministers.

He said that the double engine governance model has failed in Uttarakhand. Why the chief minister had to be changed in Uttarakhand is only known to two people i.e. PM Modi and HM Amit Shah.

Targeting the BJP, he said that during Kumbh the BJP spread poison by doing the testing scam, which brought bad name to the state. Inflation and unemployment is at a high in the state.

He also accused the BJP of making inflation a routine and the party is only targeting people.

He further said that the party’s theme song highlights what the Congress will do after being voted to power.

“The identity of Uttarakhand is being bulldozed and our theme song shows that we will preserve the identity of the state,” he said, adding, “Tin tigada, kam bigada aur BJP na aayegi dubara’ is the title of our theme song.”

He also said that Congress will give a government which will be an example of a model Uttarakhand where importance will be given to the last man standing in the row.

When asked who will be the face of the party, Rawat said, “People will be the face of Congress in the state and they have decided to change the government this time.”

To another question on one family, one ticket announced in Punjab by Congress, Yadav said, “In Punjab few decisions have been taken after deliberations and it was announced. We will also discuss and let everyone know.”
