NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief Minister Atishi announced on Sunday that she would fund her election campaign in Kalkaji through crowdfunding, emphasizing transparency and public participation.
She launched a website titled “Humaari Atishi – Because Delhi Deserves Young and Educated Decision-Makers,” where people can donate to support her campaign. The website reads, “This is Atishi’s official fundraising campaign for her election campaign in Kalkaji. Help Atishi’s campaign by making a donation.”
The initiative is also being promoted with the hashtag #DonateforAtishi on X (formerly Twitter) and other social media platforms.

Posting on X, Atishi shared her journey with the people of Delhi: Over the past 5 years, you’ve stood by me as an MLA, a minister, and now as the Chief Minister of Delhi. None of this would have been possible without your blessings and support. As a young, educated woman, your belief and donations have enabled me to imagine a career in politics—a path I couldn’t have walked alone. Now, as we face another election campaign, I need your support once again. Please contribute to my crowdfunding campaign and share this link to help spread the word: atishi.aamaadmiparty.org. Together, we can continue this journey of progress and hope.”
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) praised the move, posting on X: “Only in the AAP will you ever see that a sitting Chief Minister is crowdfunding for her election. CM Atishi’s commitment to transparency and honesty is unmatched.”

Speaking to the media, Atishi said, “AAP MLAs, ministers, and Chief Ministers work with honesty. In the past, we also sought support from the people of the country and Delhi to contest elections. This time, too, we are contesting elections with the help and support of the public.”
Atishi also criticized the BJP, claiming, “The BJP doesn’t even have candidates to field in the elections. Their senior leaders are unwilling to contest.”
AAP’s Public Relations Officer Reena Gupta added, “The country needs educated and honest leaders like Atishi Ji. To support her, we must contribute to CM Atishi’s crowdfunding campaign. You can donate ₹100, ₹1,000, or more through UPI, debit, or credit card by visiting the link.”
