NEW DELHI: Shardeum, the autoscaling layer-1 blockchain, announced the appointment of Srinivasan “Srini” Parthasarathy as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO). With over three decades of experience in technology leadership roles across traditional and blockchain industries, Srini is set to spearhead the development of Shardeum’s technical roadmap and ecosystem.
Prior to this appointment, Srini served as CTO at Game of Silks, Inc., bringing a wealth of expertise to Shardeum during a crucial phase of its journey. He has held notable roles, including Chief Crypton at Crypton Labs, VP of Engineering at DraftKings, Inc., and Enterprise Architect at Amazon Web Services. Additionally, he has served as CTO for several companies, including Ioconic, iMedicor, iDistribute, and Animatix Studios, Inc.

Powered by dynamic state sharding and transaction-level consensus, Shardeum aims to democratize access by enabling anyone to run validator nodes, enhancing decentralization and scalability for Web3 applications.
In his new role, Srini will focus on advancing Shardeum’s innovative features, such as its proof-of-quorum consensus mechanism and dynamic state sharding, which aim to deliver low gas fees and high transaction throughput. Commenting on his appointment, Srini said, “I have been a Blockchain evangelist since I set up my first NFT marketplace back in 2017. Shardeum’s vision of creating a scalable and decentralized blockchain that can serve billions of users is truly inspiring.
