Sehrawat praised IWP’s initiatives in skill development and empowerment, emphasizing Prime Minister Modi’s vision: “Naukri lene wale nahi, naukri dene wale bano” (Don’t just seek jobs, create jobs). She highlighted how equipping women with practical skills not only benefits families but also drives the nation’s growth.
The event also featured prominent industry leaders Ishika Taneja and Bharti Taneja, who mentored students, inspiring them to excel in their respective fields. IWP Managing Director Vishal Nijhawan stressed the importance of empowering women through education and skill-building, saying, “Financial independence fosters confidence, preparing women to lead in various industries and contributing to India’s progress.”
Reflecting on India’s journey, Sehrawat remarked on the nation’s evolution from a focus on the primary sector during the early Five-Year Plans to advancements in secondary and tertiary industries. She noted the robust service sector, including banking, insurance, and education, as a testament to the country’s skilled workforce.
“Meraki 2024” concluded with a strong message: empowering women through skill development is vital for transforming India into a developed nation, aligning with the country’s vision for a brighter, more inclusive future.
