The F1 Constructors’ title fight heats up as McLaren, Ferrari, and Red Bull clash in Qatar. With tight margins, every point counts in this thrilling showdown.
NEW DELHI: As the Formula 1 season nears its conclusion, the battle for the Constructors’ Championship is at its peak. With only two races remaining, McLaren, Ferrari, and Red Bull are locked in an intense contest, making the Qatar Grand Prix a crucial turning point.
McLaren holds a 24-point advantage over Ferrari and is in a prime position to secure its first Constructors’ Championship since 1998. A strong performance this weekend could seal the deal if they outscore Ferrari by 21 points over the Qatar GP and the season finale in Abu Dhabi. Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri have been pivotal to McLaren’s remarkable season. Norris, who secured pole position for the sprint race, expressed his optimism, stating, “Great qualifying today, especially to bounce back from where we were last time out in Vegas. We came here to get a pole, and we did that. Job done for today.” Piastri echoed similar sentiments, adding, “Our target tomorrow is a one-two so we maximize points for the Constructors. We want to win every session and finish strong.”

We are focused on maximizing every opportunity to close the gap.”
Red Bull, 29 points behind McLaren, faces an uphill battle. Despite their strong car, Sergio Perez’s struggles have made the road challenging. However, the team remains determined to push until the end. Max Verstappen remarked, “The team is pushing hard. It’s going to take something extraordinary, but we’re ready to fight.” Perez acknowledged the challenges, saying, “When you can’t extract 100% from the car, things get tough. But we’re committed to doing our best.”
