GREATER NOIDA: BIOFACH India 2024, the country’s premier trade fair for the organic industry, co-located with NATURAL EXPO INDIA and MILLETS INDIA, has become the central business platform for sourcing, networking, and learning within the industry.
Organic India, known for its organic green tea, herbal tea, and herbal infusions, established an impressive outlet at the event. Kamath Pandey, the export manager of Organic India, discussed the health benefits of their products with The New Indian. “We are a 100% organic certified brand. Our products include herbal ingredients, and our star product is Tulsi, known for its health benefits. It improves immunity, and we also offer herbal infusions targeted at specific areas like metabolism, gut health, liver health, etc.”
The company supports over 2,000 farmers by offering premium prices for their Tulsi crops, “We are also promoting good health while supporting farmers, we pay them premium prices, whatever they ask for producing Tulsi for us, despite their production,” Pandey said.
However, the challenge of replacing traditional milk tea with green and herbal tea in India remains. “In India, it is hard for people to replace milk tea with herbal tea, but we are trying to educate them about the health benefits,” Pandey admitted.
The 16th edition of BIOFACH India 2024 is held at India Expo Mart in Greater Noida from the 3rd to the 5th of August. It is seeing the participation of over 200 industry brands in the organic, natural, and millet sectors paving the way for a more organic and health-conscious future in India.
Attendees had the opportunity to gain insights from global experts through thoughtfully curated conference sessions, making it a significant event for industry stakeholders.
