NEW DELHI: Actress Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal, who were previously silent about their wedding rumors are now confirmed to go ahead with the wedding by Rapper and Singer Yo Yo Honey Singh.
Singh, who is one of their close friends in the industry, has extended his warm wishes to the “power couple” through an Instagram post, which confirmed their upcoming nuptials. From a unique invitation to a private celebration and a celebrity guest list, here’s what we know about their much-anticipated wedding.
Their marriage was only rumored. However, Honey Singh’s post has confirmed it who wrote, “Though I will be in London shooting Glory’s first song, I will make sure to attend my best friend @aslison SONAKSHI’s wedding. She has been a big support in my career and helped me many times in life. Best wishes to the power couple Sona and Zaheer!! Bholenath bless them.”

The couple is attracting rumors of their wedding since a long time but finally it seems they are all set to tie the knot on June 23, 2024. Their unique invitation card, featuring a QR code with an audio message, has recently made waves which kicked the rumours.
Zaheer comes from a family of jewelers; his father, Iqbal Ratansi, is a jeweler, and his mother is a homemaker. The groomis the middle child, with a sister who is a celebrity stylist and a younger brother studying computer engineering. He attended Mumbai Scottish School, where he was a junior to Ranbir Kapoor.
Initially, Zaheer planned to join the family jewelry business but shifted to acting, making his debut in the romantic drama “Notebook,” produced by Salman Khan. He starred alongside Pranutan Bahl, granddaughter of the legendary actress Nutan. Zaheer received extensive training from Salman Khan, preparing him for future roles. He appeared in “Double XL” with Sonakshi Sinha and in “Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan,” where Salman Khan played the lead role.
The couple will reportedly have a registered marriage on June 23, followed by a formal celebration at Bastian – At The Top restaurant in Dadar. The dress code for the event will be formal and festive.
The ceremony is reported to be attended by close friends and family and according to further media reports, Bollywood personalities such as Aayush Sharma, Huma Qureshi, and Varun Sharma are invited.
Poonam Dhillon is also on the guest list, and Honey Singh has confirmed his attendance, calling Zaheer his ‘best friend.’ Additionally, Sonakshi’s ‘Heeramandi’ team—including Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Fardeen Khan, Taha Shah Badussha, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Sharmin Segal—are also expected to attend.
