NEW DELHI:In a shocking turn of events surrounding the Porsche crash in Pune, two doctors from Sassoon General Hospital have been arrested for allegedly tampering with blood samples. The incident, which resulted in the death of two IT professionals, has taken a new twist with accusations of manipulation and evidence tampering.

Dr. Ajay Taware, head of the hospital’s forensic department, and Dr. Shrihari Harnor, the chief medical officer, have been detained on suspicion of altering blood samples related to the case. The police allege that the juvenile driver’s blood sample was disposed of and replaced with another person’s sample before being sent for forensic analysis.

The Pune Police commissioner, Amitesh Kumar, revealed that the doctors purportedly swapped the samples on the instructions of Dr. Taware. This development has raised serious concerns about the integrity of the investigation into the crash.

The incident occurred on May 19 when a speeding Porsche, allegedly driven by a minor, collided with a motorcycle, claiming the lives of two individuals. Initial reports suggested that the teenager was intoxicated at the time of the accident. Despite being granted bail initially, public outcry and police scrutiny led to the minor being placed in an observation home until June 5.

However, the controversy doesn’t end there. The teenager’s family has come under fire for allegedly pressuring their driver to take the blame for the accident. The grandfather of the accused was arrested for illegally confining the driver, who was coerced into making a false statement implicating himself as the driver of the Porsche.

Following the accident, the driver initially claimed responsibility but later, it was revealed that the teenager was behind the wheel. This revelation has further complicated the legal proceedings surrounding the case.

In addition to these developments, the Pune cyber police have launched an investigation into a viral rap video purportedly featuring the teenager boasting about the crash. However, authorities have confirmed that the video is fake, adding another layer of complexity to an already convoluted case.

As the investigation unfolds, questions regarding accountability and justice continue to mount. The arrest of the doctors and allegations of family coercion have cast a shadow over the entire incident, leaving the community grappling with the repercussions of a tragedy compounded by deceit and manipulation.
