Woman shot dead in Jehangirpuri, extra police force deployed

New Delhi – In a shocking incident that took place on Friday in Jehangirpuri, a woman was shot dead by a man who had previously eloped with her daughter. The accused, identified as Mehtab, shot a woman, named Sarita, in J Block of Jehangirpuri.

According to reports, Mehtab arrived in Jehangirpuri with his friends on Thursday. After entering Sarita’s house, he shot her twice. Sarita was rushed to a nearby government hospital, where she was declared dead by the doctors.

Upon receiving the report of the incident, the Station House Officer (SHO) and officials from the Mahendra Park police station rushed to the crime scene. The police are currently examining CCTV footage as part of their ongoing investigation.

An FIR for murder has been lodged against Mehtab. To prevent any further incidents, the police have deployed additional forces in the area.

The police have announced that the postmortem of the deceased will be conducted at Babu Jagjivan Ram Hospital. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
