NEW DELHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has taken decisive action against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Atishi, sending her a defamation notice in response to her recent allegations of coercion and threats. Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva announced the issuance of the notice during a press briefing today, underscoring the party’s commitment to upholding its integrity and reputation in the face of baseless accusations.

Ms. Atishi’s claims, made during a press conference, alleged that a close associate of the BJP had approached her with an ultimatum to join the party or risk arrest by the Enforcement Directorate. However, the BJP leadership has vehemently denied these allegations, labeling them as unfounded and malicious.

In response to the notice, Ms. Atishi has been called upon to publicly retract her statements and issue a formal apology for the harm caused to the BJP’s reputation. Failure to comply with these demands may result in further legal action against her.

The controversy surrounding Ms. Atishi’s claims underscores the heightened tensions between the AAP and the BJP ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. However, the BJP remains steadfast in its commitment to upholding the principles of fairness and accountability in politics, refusing to be swayed by attempts to besmirch its image.

As the political landscape continues to unfold, the BJP remains focused on its primary objective of serving the interests of the nation and its citizens, undeterred by attempts to derail its agenda or tarnish its reputation.
