Hailing from Mizoram, Subedar Thanseia’s illustrious life was marked by extraordinary acts of bravery during World War II, notably at the Battle of Kohima, a pivotal moment in the conflict.

His valorous contributions to the 1st Assam Regiment, particularly during their deployment at Jessami, underscored his unwavering commitment to duty and nation.
