Evacuated Ukrainian students contribute to Muraleedharan’s election deposit

NEW DELHI : In a touching display of gratitude, a group of students evacuated from Ukraine amid the conflict with Russia has stepped forward to contribute to the security deposit for Minister of State for External Affairs, V. Muraleedharan’s candidacy in the Attingal Lok Sabha constituency.

Expressing their appreciation for the prompt and decisive actions of the Indian government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the students, accompanied by their parents, visited Muraleedharan at the BJP’s state office in Kerala. Sai Sruthi, a former student at Zaporizhzhia University in Ukraine, recounted their harrowing experiences during the war and the subsequent evacuation facilitated by the efforts of Prime Minister Modi and Minister Muraleedharan.

“As a token of gratitude and respect, students and parents collected some money, and we came here today to present this amount as a deposit for his (V. Muraleedharan’s) election,” Sruthi explained. Expressing his appreciation for the heartfelt gesture from the students, Muraleedharan highlighted the crucial role played by Prime Minister Modi and the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) in ensuring the safe return of thousands of students from the conflict zone.

“I am grateful to the parents and the students who were evacuated by the Government of India during the period of conflict in Ukraine. In fact, during the last five years of PM Narendra Modi ji’s government, the most fulfilling activity for me personally was the various evacuation operations,” Muraleedharan remarked. He further emphasized Prime Minister Modi’s steadfast commitment to the safety and security of every Indian citizen, regardless of their location, and thanked the students and parents for their endorsement of his candidacy in Attingal.

This heartening gesture stands as a testament to the deep trust and gratitude the youth of Kerala have for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Minister Muraleedharan, underscoring the strong bond between the government and its citizens, even in challenging times.
