NEW DELHI: PM Narendra Modi has begun a meeting into after Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said that a depression over southeast and adjoining east-central Bay of Bengal on December 2 may intensify into a cyclonic storm over the next two days, leading into Andhra Pradesh and Odisha.

The Regional Meteorological Centre in Kolkata on Wednesday had issued the warning for fishermen for next five days for both Bay of Bengal and Andaman and Nicobar Coast.
“In anticipation of formation of cyclonic storm over Central Bay of Bengal, fishermen are advised not to venture into the deep sea on December 3,” the warning said.
The warning has come amid low pressure area created over south Thailand that concentrated into a depression.
Ensure maintenance of all essential services and their quick restoration in case of disruption.
