NEW DELHI: As the 2024 Lok Sabha election looms, the BJP is banking on its ‘M.R.P.’ strategy. Sources within the BJP, speaking to The New Indian, revealed that ‘M’ represents Manoj Tiwari, ‘R’ for Ramesh Bidhuri, and ‘P’ for Pravesh Verma.

“Our M.R.P. lineup is set for the upcoming general election. Decisions regarding the remaining four seats will be made in the coming weeks,” a prominent party source disclosed to The New Indian. Presently, Ramesh Bidhuri represents South Delhi, Manoj Tiwari North East Delhi, and Pravesh Verma West Delhi.

In response to the AAP and Congress allying to contest jointly, the AAP will field a candidate against Ramesh Bidhuri, while the Congress candidate will challenge Manoj Tiwari and Pravesh Verma. However, the source remained tight-lipped regarding Meenakshi Lekhi, Gautam Gambhir, Hans Raj Hans, and Dr. Harsh Vardhan.

There’s speculation within the BJP that they might shuffle the seats of the other four candidates, with rumours swirling about the potential replacement of Hans Raj Hans. In Delhi, the Congress and AAP have allied to take on the BJP in the upcoming elections under the banner of the INDIA alliance.

Despite the competition, the BJP exudes confidence in their electoral prospects. “Our M.R.P. lineup is set to secure victory. Final decisions on the remaining four seats will be made soon. It’s the Congress and AAP who are apprehensive about their chances. Rest assured, our M.R.P. selection will be instrumental in securing all seven seats,” asserted party sources.
