MUMBAI: In the run-up to the grand wedding of Anant Ambani, the youngest scion of Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant, pre-wedding festivities are set to unfold in Jamnagar, Gujarat, from March 1 to March 3.
The opulent celebrations will culminate in a Mumbai wedding on July 12. The noteworthy aspect of this high-profile union is the star-studded guest list that includes global business magnates and tech moguls. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, BlackRock CEO Larry Fink, and others are anticipated to attend the festivities.
The extensive guest list also features prominent figures like BP chief executive Murray Auchincloss, Qatar Premier Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen, and Lupa Systems CEO James Murdoch, among others.

The pre-wedding celebrations in Jamnagar are expected to showcase the richness of Indian culture. Women artisans from Kachchh and Lalpur in Gujarat have crafted traditional Bandhani scarves for the guests.

In a video posted by Reliance Foundation on Instagram, Nita Ambani, the founder, and chairperson, is seen meeting the artisans and expressing her appreciation for their craftsmanship. The caption reads, “Threads of Love and Heritage: A Tapestry Woven for Anant and Radhika.”
“These women pour their hearts and souls into the craft, preserving age-old techniques and breathing life into stories as ancient as the land itself. Swadesh is empowering communities and preserving age-old craftsmanship,” it added.
After dating for some time, Anant and Radhika exchanged wedding rings at Shrinathji Temple in Rajasthan’s Nathdwara on December 29, 2022, in a private ceremony. Following that, the couple hosted an official engagement ceremony at Ambani’s residence in Mumbai on January 19, 2023.
